In the post-epidemic era, with declining office occupancy and shifting work patterns, we needed to step in and rethink the original offices. This project is aimed to transform the pwc office building above Charing Cross Station by converting part of the existing offices into a public space. It provides a space for communication, co-working and accommodation for overtime workers, economically disadvantaged workers and staff within the building.
My hybrid system is a manipulable skin system that I transformed into a spatial deployment logic through its skin-to-volume transformation and applied it to the building.
