The expandable hybrid system investigates the evolving relationship between authority, access, and space. Fixed spatial configurations are temporarily redefined through institutional control, reflecting the Library Board’s shift from regulating information to curating spatial experience. The project translates the coexistence of true and false knowledge into interlocking architectural principles, expressed through movable and static multifunctional spaces. Beyond enabling new modes of learning and collaboration, the intervention addresses the economics of knowledge, proposing financially sustainable strategies such as exhibitions, events, and public access to previously restricted areas, including a rooftop terrace.
